Parathyroid Adenoma

History: 50 year old female with a hot nodule on a prior Tc-99m Sestamibi scan and hypercalcemia. Given the history of hypercalcemia and hot nodule on the prior Tc-99m Sestamibi scan, this is compatible with a parathyroid adenoma, which was confirmed at surgery. Hyperparathyroidism was the etiology of the patient’s hypercalcemia.

Meningioma

History: 60 year old female presents with headache. The diagnosis in this case was meningioma, which is the most common extra-axial mass in the adult. Classically they are seen in elderly females, as in this case.

Small Bowel Obstruction

History: 48 year old man presents with diffuse abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting. This patient was found to have a distal small bowel obstruction secondary to an incarcerated right femoral hernia.

Femoral Hernia

History: 48 year old male presents with abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting and a new right groin mass. This patient was also found to have a small bowel obstruction secondary to the right femoral hernia.

Multilocular Cystic Nephroma

History: 60 year old male lost to follow up now returns five years later for reevaluation of a known right renal mass. Left Middle Cerebral Artery Stroke

History: 65 year old male presents with sudden onset right hemiparesis and slurred speech.  This patient was found to have near complete left internal carotid artery occlusion on a subsequent CT-angiogram of the head and neck. This is a middle cerebral artery stroke. 

Gallstone Pancreatitis

Renal Cell Carcinoma

History: 50 year old male with new onset left flank pain and hematuria. No prior past medical history.  This patient went on to have a radical left nephrectomy and the tumor pathology was clear cell renal cell carcinoma (RCC), the most common type of RCC.    

Glaucoma Drainage Device

History: Incidental note of a metallic device on a patient receiving a head CT for headache.
