Atherosclerosis

History: 80 year old female with headache.

Single axial CT scan without contrast through the skull base reveals marked atherosclerotic calcifications of the bilateral cavernous internal carotid arteries.

This is a common area for atherosclerotic calcifications in elderly patients.
